Converse “Holiday Nudes” Collection – Review

Some time ago I saw a picture on Instagram of a collection of nude Converse sneakers and I instantly freaked out. I went straight to Google to find out what the collection was about and where I could buy a pair of those beautiful sneakers.

Turns out, Converse did an exclusive collaboration with the British shoe store Office, which means that their site is the only place you can buy these shoes. Of course, to the price of the shoes you have to add the price of shipping, if you love outside the UK, which the site will calculate for you. Thankfully, shipping to Italy was only £4.99, so the total ended up being around £65. Below you have the pictures with and without direct sunlight.

I bought them in this colour, which is the most cold-toned one of the bunch. There are also a couple more colours, but they were either too pink or too peachy for my taste and for what I was looking for. If you want to buy any of them, you should hurry, since there are only a couple of sizes left and they are mostly on low stock.

I love these shoes so so much. They are made of leather and the hardware is golden. Since they are made of leather, they hurt the back of my heel quite a lot, as soon as I walk two steps, so until my feet get used to them, I will have to use bandages. They are also true to size. The only problem was shipping, since the store only offers tracking inside the UK, so that was a bit stressful, but it all worked out fine in the end and delivery times were respected.

Score: 8/10

I am extremely glad I bought them and I cannot wait to style more outfits with them, so stay tuned.

Thank you for reading.

Outfit of the Day – July 12, 2016

I am finally back with another outfit of the day, although on this particular day I did not go anywhere important or fancy; I simply went to driving school, but I decided to wear something new, the shirt, which I just bought on a shopping trip in Rome, that you can read about here. I never go anywhere anymore, so I just thought I would “dress up” for no reason.

So, the pièce de résistance is obviously the long and oversized striped dress shirt, which I talked about more in detail in my haul post, but regardless it is from Zara and I could not find it on their website anymore, but they do have more oversized shirts like these, so just dig into their site or others, like Asos.

On the bottom I am wearing a pair of white shorts, which I do not particularly like, simply because they do not fit me properly, as in they fit my butt but they are too loose around my waist. They are from Tally Weijl, but they are not available anymore, and trust me, you are not missing out. I plan on buying a new pair, but made of denim, from Levi’s or something like that, where you pay a bit more, but they actually fit you right.

To keep my pants up, I was wearing a belt on which I made more holes since again, the belt was not tight enough, despite being a size S, from H&M. I really wish I would not have to wear belts, but unfortunately it is very rare that I find good enough pants.

On my feet, I was wearing a pair of blue Converse. They used to be more intensely coloured, but after washing them quite often in the past three years, they turned to a more denim-like hue and I do not mind it one bit. You can find them here.

Finally, on my wrist I was wearing a watch by Morello, but I got it as a gift years ago and I cannot find the model anymore. Anyways, the plating kind of rubbed off, which I do not mind that much, but if you plan on getting a good watch, invest in good brands or at least, in materials that do not get damaged with wear.

Outfit of the Day – March 14, 2016

Another ootd coming your way. That day actually started off really nicely, the sun was out and the temperature was great. Then, at noon, it started raining of course. Anyways, I decided to wear a pair of pants that I have not worn in a couple of months. These are the typical khaki “cargo” pants you find in any store, but I got mine at Tally Weijl and you can find a similar model, from the same brand, here.

I had a simple black tank top underneath my sweater. This black sweater was gifted to me by my mum on Christmas Day and I love the quality and the pattern of it. The texture is amazing and although it is quite lightweight, it does keep you warm. It is from Mango and you can find the link on my Christmas Gifts post, right here.

On my feet, I wore a pair of white Converse Chuck Taylor All Star High. I bought these a couple of summers ago and I am still rocking them. My feet kind of “slide” inward when I walk, so the sole is quite ruined, especially on my right foot (which I broke 2 times when I was a kid). All in all, I would buy them again if they got extremely ruined and I would also like a low pair. You can obviously find them at Foot Locker.

Finally, I wore a black leather jacket which I bought two or three years ago from Bershka. It has fluff on the inside, so it does keep me warm and it look amazing on the outside. It is probably my most loved piece of clothing. They unfortunately do not carry it anymore, but any good leather jacket will do.

Thank you so much for reading.
